30 Day +VE Challenge! - Part 3

Last week was not a pleasant for me. The weather had been hot and rainy, causing my sinus problem to act up for two subsequent days. In that irritable state, I buried myself with the stress of my final year research project and addiction towards computer games, not being able to pull myself out from the negative cycle of trying to write thesis and then giving up and playing games to destress myself, then feeling guilty and going back to writing again. I am glad that I decided to go to this event, a talk given by Dr. Jane Goodall, world-renowned primatologist in KL that me and my friends went to stay at Petaling Street the night before. It was relaxing to have a mojito at the rooftop bar of the guesthouse we were staying in (the magic of alcohol complemented the crowdedness of the bar that night) since I had not taken hard drinks for quite some time (ahem, I am of legal age, hehe). Having a short getaway like this one really broke the negative cycle I was in, moreover the inspiring and motivating talk given by Dr. Jane was really a boost to my dormant mind, triggering the passion inside me that has been wanting to do something to change this world. I know this sound old-fashioned and too big for anyone including me, but at least we try to do something no matter how big or small the change will be.

So here I am, resuming my 30 Days +VE Challenge! after a long week. I am having a mid-semester break now and for sure there are more positive things to look forward to every day! Bad days happen, but they will pass~ :)

Day 15 (29/10/16)

1) Had a wonderful short getaway with Erika and Kit in KL!

2) Attended a talk given by the legendary Dr. Jane Goodall, it was inspiring!

3) Bread and mineral water are provided by the thoughtful people at the train service! It took a longer time to reach my hometown since we had to switch to bus for part of the journey due to an accident happened at the train track.
